Short Bio: Consisting of producer, NK-OK and multi-instrumentalist, Mr. DM, Grammy Award winners Blue Lab Beats is a production duo and fully live band who fuse Jazz, Hip-hop, Afrobeats, Soul and Electronica genres whilst representing a talented generation of musicians coming out of the UK.Features on their albums include IDK, Kofi Stone, Camilla George, Jay Price, Pip Millett, Kojey Radical, Tiana Major 9, Ben Jones, Sampa The Great, Ghetto Boy and many more, they have also produced many artists tracks, most recently August Charles ‘Until The Morning’ plus Dargz ‘Smiley’.
When playing live they have a fully live band with guest musicians and vocalists alongside NK-OK on drum machine and Mr DM on keys and bass. Recent highlights are their headline show at EFG The London Jazz Festival at Hackney Church, performing in Brixton with DJ AG online and jamming with Robert Glasper and Wyclef Jean at Glasper’s after party, curating late nights at The Elgar Room ( presenting Shanice Hall, Emily Tran and Mackwood ) They have started their own record label Blue Adventure Records and are busy signing amazing artists and also putting their our own tracks independently.
