Short Project Title: Caleb Kunle’s debut EP turns Yoruba heritage into modern soul

Project Description: With support from PRS Foundation, Caleb Kunle is completing ADSM: Afro Diasporic Soul Music, his debut EP. The five-track project moves through joy, grief, healing, and identity, opening and closing with a quest and ending in a resounding discovery in the song “Mountain” — a structural choice that frames the whole body of work as ceremony rather than collection. Lead single “Heartline” sets the emotional register: tender, unguarded, built for connection. The EP draws on Caleb’s Nigerian-Irish heritage and his ongoing creative framework, The Black Future Now, which fuses ancestral tradition with futurist sonics and visual language. Collaborators include producers Alex Wildwood, Lucas Polo, and Aidan Glover, with mixing by Danny Trachtenberg. PRS Foundation’s grant supports the final stages of production as Caleb prepares ADSM for release in late summer 2026, marking a significant step toward his planned debut album, Joyful Noise.

Bio: Caleb Kunle is a Nigerian-Irish artist redefining soul music for a new era. Raised in Ireland and now based in London, he blends ancestral Yoruba tradition with futurist sound under his own framework, The Black Future Now. His debut EP, ADSM: Afro Diasporic Soul Music, traces joy, grief, healing, and identity across five momentous tracks. Caleb has performed at the Barbican and Royal Festival Hall, supported Fatoumata Diawara and Lianne La Havas, and was a Glastonbury Emerging Talent finalist. He was shortlisted for MOBO Unsung 2025.
