Ceitidh Mac: Open Fund for Music Creators

Bio: Ceitidh Mac (pronounced Katie) is an alt.folk cellist/singer whose sound is original, absorbing and full of soul. Mixing soaring vocals, cello grooves and bold songwriting with vibraphone, synth & drums, her music brings a genre-blurring twist to folk. Hailing from rural Wales, now based in Newcastle, she’s become a distinctive voice in the North East music scene and beyond. With acclaimed EPs like Seabird, support from BBC Radio, and shows at Green Man, Shambala and Kendal Calling, Ceitidh’s live performances are nothing short of mesmerising. She’s also a Drake YolanDa Award winner and former Artist in Residence at The Glasshouse.
