Celia Grace: PPL Momentum Accelerator Tees Valley Artist
Bio: Hartlepool indie pop artist Celia Grace creates emotionally honest songs that blend the intimacy of folk with the anthemic energy of indie pop. Her debut EP ‘Sports’ established her as an exciting emerging artist, leading to a BBC Introducing live session at Maida Vale Studios and festival performances across the North East. Following a cancer diagnosis, Grace’s songwriting has taken on new depth, inspiring her forthcoming EP, ‘A Way of Life’. The EP marks a bold new chapter in her career, and explores themes of change, acceptance and becoming. This award supports the creation and release of Grace’s debut album, enabling her to develop songwriting and creative skills through collaboration with other songwriters and producers, refine her artistic voice and create her most ambitious body of work to date. Funding will support the recording, mixing and mastering of the album, alongside PR support to introduce the music to wider audiences. The project will conclude with the album’s release, supported by album launch shows to grow Grace’s presence both regionally and nationally.
