Short Bio: Charlotte-Anne has worked at Universal Music Publishing Group for the past 5 and a half years and is currently Partnerships & Engagement Manager for Universal Production Music, working to their get music placed in Film & TV. Passionate about inclusion, Charlotte-Anne is a lead member of UMPG’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, working to make Music Publishing more accessible to underrepresented groups, she has also led work experience programs within UMG, welcoming over 30 young participants into the UMG offices. She regularly works with UMG’s PIC team to improve recruitment, retention & resources for diverse talent & created a new hiring framework to ensure inclusivity is embedded in the process. In addition to this she has just joined UMG’s Black Label UK Leadership Team, a framework that elevates and supports existing black employees within Universal. Beyond her work at UMG, Charlotte-Anne is the Co-Chair & Co-CEO of The Cat’s Mother, a nonprofit that supports young women from diverse & low-income backgrounds starting their careers in the music industry. Through mentorship programs, workshops, networking events & community-building initiatives, The Cat’s Mother empowers the next generation of women in music. In this role, Charlotte-Anne oversees a team of 13, including voluntary trustees, steering committees & paid employees, while working closely with ambassadors such as Yazmin Lacey & Enny, as well as sponsors like Amazon Music, PPL & Defected Records.

Concise Description of activity: Charlotte-Anne will be using the support and funding for leadership development and training, new equipment, travel opportunities, wider industry exploration and network growth.
