China Rats: British Music Abroad

China Rats formed in Leeds in 2011 and released their first EP in April 2012. Their first airplay came on West Yorkshire’s BBC Introducing show and they were soon picked up by Radio 1’s Huw Stephens who has to date played three different songs. Their track “N.O.M.O.N.E.Y” was playlisted on the BBC Introducing list on Radio 1’s playlist in May and since then the band have received airplay on XFM (Playlist), BBC6Music, Amazing Radio, Q Radio, NME Radio (Playlist), BBC London. China Rats have been mentioned in NME’s Radar section 3 times as well as receiving press in Artrocker and Clash.
