Classic Cinema Club: Women Make Music

Classic Cinema Club-Ealing will commission Ealing based composer Laura Rossi to write an original score to the BFI silent 1915 film JANE SHORE, the first British epic and one that rivalled the best productions coming out of Hollywood at the time. Jane Shore was filmed in part at Ealing Studios and produced by Will Barker who founded the original studio and built the complex.

CCCE will present Jane Shore with Laura’s new score, performed live by her ensemble Orchestra Celeste, in Ealing Town Hall in the grand Queen’s Hall on Friday 21st November, 2014. There will be two screenings: The main screening will be at 7.30pm with a free afternoon performance for local schools. Laura Rossi will also lead film music masterclasses with local students and Laura and her ensemble will then embark on a UK tour of this film with live music.
