Short Project Title: I Know A Place / Revolutions
Bio: Come Play With Me is a non-profit music development organisation. We specialise in supporting people from marginalised communities to further their careers in music. Our mission is to fight for an equitable, inclusive and diverse music industry and we provide tailored career development for individuals and businesses through our events, mentoring, workshops and Inclusion training.
Programme Description: In 26/27 CPWM, TDN funding will be used to support our 10th annual ‘I Know A Place’ conference – education / advice / signposting / celebration for marginalised demographics in music and their allies . We will also be delivering an extension of our Revolutions project, delivered in conjunction with Karen Emanuel OBE (CEO, Key Production) and Julie Weir (Director, SONY/Music for Nations) at different events around the UK where we will be curating training, mentorship and development opportunities for younger / junior women / gender minority music creators and industry professionals
