Series of club events, exhibitions, and pop-ups across the Northeast and London, supporting grassroots artists while developing my skills to deliver more professional, successful events.
Conrad Whale is a promoter, photographer and creative producer who has run events under Big Beat Manifesto. His work focuses on supporting grassroots electronic music and the communities that surround it, with a strong emphasis on emerging DJs, and inclusivity on the dancefloors.
Conrad’s practice began through photography projects and exhibitions documenting nightlife and has since developed into promoting club events and collaborative projects. His previous work includes large-scale exhibitions, club nights and pop-ups showcasing early-career artists and DJs.
Conrad is now at a key stage of development, moving from small DIY events toward more ambitious programming and larger audiences. Support from PRS Foundation will enable him to book higher-profile artists alongside local talent, promote events in new cities, and develop stronger partnerships with venues and collectives.
Activity supported by PRS Foundation will include delivering a run of music-led events, building diverse line-ups, expanding audiences, and developing the skills needed to work confidently at the next level as an independent promoter.
