Cornwall Music Forum is a not for profit organisation aiming to –
Inspire, support, connect and promote music in Cornwall
Having established a central point for music information in Cornwall via its website, www.cornwallmusic.co.uk which offers Cornwall’s only comprehensive music listings service of all music genres + a ‘What’s On’. CMF also arranges a programme of seminars as well as professional development and resources to support musicians, music businesses and venues.
CMF showcases new and emerging bands at music venues and festivals, helps to build new audiences and offers training opportunities for musicians.
A CMF Record label will be launched in autumn 2011 enabling a chosen artist/band to record a single, film a video at the Eden Project and perform at major Cornish Festivals in 2012.
The PRS for Music Foundation Award will greatly assist us in developing this work, help us strengthen CMF as an advocate for the music sector in Cornwall and enable us to link with other networks and organisations in the South West.
