Deborah Yewande Bankole: POWER UP Industry Professional
Bio:
With 12 years’ experience producing and curating cross-disciplinary work, Deborah Yewande Bankole is a driving voice in shaping bold, culturally resonant and playful creative experiences. She currently holds the position of creative producer at the Southbank Centre as well as working as a key player across the immersive experiential sector. At Southbank, her work involves leading the public programme for the award winning Meltdown Festival working collaboratively over the years with the likes of Little Simz, Chaka Khan, Grace Jones and Nile Rogers to name a few.
Across the span of her career, she has carved out a distinct role for collaborating with artists and brands at every scale to present new work in new ways, with a specialism for doing so in public space. Her role focuses on developing new interdisciplinary work and experimenting in formats outside traditional contexts. Her work across the experiential sector has seen her develop ground-breaking multi-sensory work as a co-director with award winning collective BitterSuite.
