BLACK GLAMOUR – Mixtape

Deyah has gone. from self-produced tracks in a home studio only 18 months ago to working with the UK’s best production teams including: TEN BILLION DREAMS (Ghetts: Conflict of Interest, Stormzy, Giggs) and ASTRONOTE (Kendrick Lamar, Little Simz, SiR, Michael Kiwanuka, etc.) Her debut mixtape: BLACK GLAMOUR is produced by the amazing new London wunderkind: Otis Saint Carter and Deyah herself and is based around the 5 elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether. It is, without doubt, her most profound and serious project to date. It is about strength, unity, uniqueness and empowerment. Her earlier singles: Ultimate Dinner Party, Hush, Genesis, Shoreditch and Heart Status have all had great support from BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, 6Music, Clara Amfo, Annie Mac, Rickie, Melvin & Charlie, Jack Saunders, DJ Target, DJ Semtex, etc. as well as Spotify and Apple’s EBRO and Charlie Sloth. The PPL Momentum Music Fund Award has been an invaluable contribution to the promotion. Having spent so much time writing, recording, producing and mixing the tracks it has been such a help to have the additional funding that allows the team to promote the project through radio, press and socials in the way that we dreamed.
