Dilettante: PPL Momentum Accelerator

Dilettante is the brain-child of BC Camplight member, Francesca Pidgeon. Live shows are a genre-phobic loop-fest, featuring anything from fuzzy guitar licks to 5-part saxophone harmonies.

Dilettante has sold out shows in Manchester, Leeds, Halifax, London and Hull, has supported the likes of Self Esteem, Caribou and Philip Selway (Radiohead) as well as performing at Kendal Calling, The Great Escape, Live at Leeds and Focus Wales.

After releasing her debut album ‘Tantrum’ in October last year she is excited to create and record new material and the PPL Momentum Accelerator grant is making this possible. ‘Tantrum’ was recorded in the depths of lockdown so Francesca is eager to finally involve her wonderful live band in the recording process (Aaron Collins-Wood on bass, Jack Mee AKA Furry Hug on drums and Rachel Rimer AKA hotsprings on guitar).

FFO St Vincent, tUnE-yArDs, Dirty Projectors + Fiona Apple.
