DJ Swami: The Open Fund for Music Creators

Diamond Duggal aka DJ Swami is an established British Indian music composer and producer. His music is regularly broadcast on radio, featured in video games and movies. He has composed and produced a diversity of artist albums for Shania Twain, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Apache Indian. As DJ Swami he toured with headline live performances at Glastonbury and WOMAD festivals in 2005 and in 2017 was commissioned as lead artist, composer and curator for ‘PunjabTronix’ as part of ACE ‘Re-Imagine India’. The project toured the UK, USA (including SXSW) and India. He has won 2 UKAMAs and a South Africa SAMA award. He also received a composer/songwriter Ivor Novello nomination for Best Contemporary Song. DJ Swami’s music is currently featured in the number one Netflix series ‘Indian Matchmaking’.

‘Strands’ is an electronica meets Sufi world music audio/visual collaboration performance by award winning British Indian electronic music composer DJ Swami, leading British Indian sitar player Roopa Panesar, popular British Iraqi vocalist Lanja Ali and upcoming British Indian fusion vocalist Unnati Dasgupta. Strands is an emotional cinematic musical journey of solace and optimism fused with the uplifting Sufi and Qawwali lyrics of love and spirituality exploring the unique experiences of isolation, loneliness, belonging and soul searching in this different world we all find ourselves in.
