Program Description: DM Collective (DMC) is Drake Music’s flagship artist development programme, designed to support the professional growth of Disabled musicians. The programme provides a range of opportunities including mentoring, bursaries, commissions, and performance showcases. Each year a cohort of talented Disabled musicians are recruited through accessible open calls, selecting artists from diverse genres and career stages. Artists receive seed funding to develop new projects or bursaries for equipment, training, and creative support. All participants engage in mentoring sessions with experienced Disabled artists and attend workshops led by industry professionals. The programme also features ‘DM: Create’ sessions, fostering creative development and peer support among current and alumni artists. Additionally, monthly ‘DM:Connect’ networking events offer a platform for collaboration and community building. By providing these tailored opportunities, DMC not only enhances the careers of Disabled musicians but also promotes inclusivity and diversity within the music industry.
