Eagulls are 5 piece punk band from the North of England. They’ve released various tapes, 7″s and 12″s on different labels and have toured relentlessly both on their own and in support of bands such as Fucked Up, Trash Talk, Flipper, Iceage, Milk Music and Crocodiles to name a few.

Publications such as the NME, Fader and Stereogum were quick to cover the band, with acclaim from Pitchfork and Altpress coming later.

January 2012 saw their self titled EP be re released for the North American market via Canadian punk label Deranged who have launched the careers for many of Eagulls’ favourite bands.

The band have their debut album ready and recorded. SXSW will provide an great opportunity for the band to make there first trip to North America and play to labels that are interested in the band.

Eagulls official showcase is Saturday 16th March at Latitude 30 as part of the NME showcase.

The band told us:
“With Eagulls being entirely funded by the band themselves through working dead end jobs the PRSF British Music Abroad grant was the only way all 5 of us could afford the airfare and be able to eat while there!”
