eavesdropping CIO (TDN 2025)
Organisation Biog: eavesdropping is a platform for the sharing of new music and new ways of thinking about music. Excited by experimentalism, we create space for artists and audiences to practise engaged listening and compassionate debate. Founded by soprano Juliet Fraser in 2017, our activity includes a festival, a forum, a podcast, and artist development opportunities. Our mission is to build community through an ethics of curiosity and care, in the belief that ripples do make waves
Short Project Title: eavesdropping’s 2025-26 season: a festival, a forum, a commission, a creative retreat, a podcast and more artist development opportunities.
Program Description: eavesdropping’s 2025-26 season includes a 4-day festival in London of experimental music and experimental thinking, with four evening events at Cafe OTO and a two-day forum at Vortex Jazz Club. It also includes one commission to be premiered at the festival, a creative retreat supporting the development of new work by one of the headline artists and the continuation of our podcast, ‘eavesdropping conversations’. Beyond the festival, we offer a variety of artist development opportunities and partner with regional organisations to present outpost events around the country.
