Eavesdropping: The Open Fund for Organisations

Eavesdropping is a series and a symposium dedicated to new music, curated by soprano Juliet Fraser and held in a little wooden chapel up in the eaves of Oxford House in Bethnal Green, East London. The series runs with monthly events: over the course of four evenings, each a double-bill, eight performers present their latest works or works-in-progress in an intimate and informal setting. Each season culminates in a weekend-long symposium, fostering debate and community by bringing together a variety of speakers, thinkers and performers. eavesdropping’s third season (2021) is set to feature artists representing experimental, electro-acoustic, Afrofuturist, contemporary classical and world music, and the symposium will explore ‘the sounding body’.
