Eleni Drake: The Open Fund for Music Creators

Recording new Album

Eleni Drake is a Greek Singer-Song-writer and producer. Born in South Africa, raised in London – she is only 1 of 2% of female producers in the world, that doesn’t deter her from pushing forward with her craft and paving a name for herself in the scene. Without any label backing to date, Drake has managed to sell out all of her headline shows, gain a mass following of 114k+ subscribers on youtube with her original music and covers, writes and produces all of her own music reaching 250k+ monthly listeners and has reached a small but, solid global recognition.

Eleni will use her grant to pay for studio time in London – where she will work with collaborators on her new body of work. Inviting more musicians onboard will hopefully elevate her sound to the next step of her career, where she can introduce different elements in her new music. This will also be able to pay for all the musicians time, effort, and contribution to creating this next album. She is looking to introduce more jazz elements to her sound with trumpets, saxophone, cello, and piano – including her traditional sound of drums, guitar, bass, violin and Rhodes.
