Erin Bloomer: PPL Momentum Music Fund
‘Act My Age’ Live Shows and EP Promo
If the voice of Erin Bloomer is already family, it’s possibly because she was scouted by BBC Radio 1 to vocal their power intros; she can be heard every day, introducing mainstream artists such as Jorja Smith, Billie Eilish, Griff, Mimi Webb, Arlo Parks and Rag’n’Bone Man.
However, drawing on iconic influences from her childhood, including her obsession with Bratz dolls and OG favourites Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Queen, Erin Bloomer penned her first songs whilst still at school. Playing piano and guitar from a young age, her musical journey began by posting short covers on Instagram, aged 13, but continuing to draw inspiration from current faves such as Ashniko, Doja Cat, Britney, her playful lyrics, with velvety vocals speak to a savvy Gen-Z audience.
Named after her Moshi Monster character, her debut EP ‘cherrygirl3101’ was released whilst studying her A-levels, widespread support followed, including airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing The South and Kent, plus nationwide and international spins. An exciting collaboration with producers Imanbek and Rasster saw Erin being picked to vocal their ‘SAD – Imanbek xxx Remix’, released through Positiva Records with EMI/Universal – a lively dance remix, and their most successful release of 2020.
The transition from schoolgirl to young adulthood sees Erin’s latest release ‘F U & F Her Too’ going viral on TikTok, with millions of views and industry attention. The PPL Momentum Fund allows the promotion of Erin Bloomer’s follow-up EP ‘Act My Age’ and collaboration with other musicians, bringing expertise and developing her live skillsets for new audiences.
“The PPL Momentum Fund is literally a dream-maker, I’m excited to collaborate with additional musicians, developing and learning from them and bringing my music to new audiences during live shows.” – Erin Bloomer
