Cherie Jones is an artist based in London signed to independent record label
37 Adventures. She has been writing and recording her debut album over last twelve months, working with a selection of UK producers including Rodaidh McDonald, Two Inch Punch, Ollie Green, AK Paul and Raffertie amongst others. She has released two singles so far –
Indulge and
Hoops – and her music has been played on Radio One, 1Xtra and Beats 1. She had also performed on
Later… with Jools Holland, as well as recorded a number of live sessions for Red Bull, the BBC and Vevo.
This grant will be used to fund the initial rehearsals for the performance, and then also travel and accommodation in Holland. This will be JONES third European show – her debut live show was in Paris in the summer and then she played in Copenhagen this October. We will travel over to Groningen in mid-January and JONES will be playing two shows on 15th – one acoustic performance with her guitarist, and then a full band show in the evening.
