Eyve: POWER UP Music Creator
Short Bio:
I am a genre-less girl, started in the Catholic church, now I perform in the Queer Club scene. Music is a universal language that I cherish, if the energy is there, so am I. It could be reggae/hip hop , mashing it up to create new sounds. Over the past 4 years, I have been attending the techno underground scenes in Glasgow. Now I feel ready to explore Afro-Techno- : anything Afro at this point.
For the past four years, I’ve immersed myself in Glasgow’s underground techno scene and am now exploring the vibrant realm of Afro-techno. Known for my distinctive purple hair and expressive fashion sense, I constantly seek unconventional approaches in how I show up as a performer. I have no doubt that with POWER UP, I’ll be able to reach more people with the music and to collaborate too!
My notable achievements include opening for Alison Russell in 2023, the same year she received a Grammy. I also participated in Sekai Machache’s SVIKIRO film project at Mount Stuart on the Isle of Bute. Receiving funding in Scotland has been pivotal in overcoming barriers, and I had the honor of closing Ponyboy’s Valentine’s Day party in 2025, what a highlight!
Concise Description of activity: I plan to network and collaborate with the exceptional people and organisations that POWER UP offers. Exploring genre-bending, Afro is the main ingredient.
