Fabiana Palladino: International Showcase Fund (SXSW 2024)

Fabiana Palladino is a UK based solo artist signed to XL Recordings / Beggars Group. Her debut self titled album is being announced on Jan 24th and released a few weeks after her performance at SXSW. SXSW is a great opportunity for Fabiana’s U.S label team, U.S agents at Arrival and management to invite key tastemakers, press, radio, DSP contacts and live promoters / festival bookers to see her perform in the U.S for the first time, especially so close to the album release. SXSW is the showcase that holds the most gravitas for emerging artists like Fabiana in the U.S and the best entry point to start things there, before going on to play shows in New York and LA later this year.

Over 50% of Fabiana’s streams are from the U.S, her recent single ‘I Care’ released on Nov 7th 2023 has been streamed over 500K times across both Spotify (Playlists Pollen (#1), NMF UK, NMF U.S and multiple others) and Apple Music (Matt Wilkinson’s track of the week). Without funding from PRS, playing SXSW would have been too much of stretch financially for Fabiana and her team, and would likely not have happened.
