False Idah: POWER UP Music Creator

Bio: False Idah is an experimental alt-folk artist whose music has been described as lacrimaire , the quiet ache that surfaces when something speaks to parts of you beyond language. Rooted in classic folk songwriting but shaped by a deliberate and knowing rawness, her work explores themes of acceptance, longing, and transformation, inviting listeners into a world that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant. Her debut release Conditions EP, released April 2026, traces a journey through grief, anger, hope, and acceptance. Produced in collaboration with Adam Scrimshire and partly funded through fan crowdfunding, the EP represents what False Idah describes as a shift from ‘False Idah’ to ‘True Idah’, an ongoing evolution rooted in devotional, attentive listening. Key career highlights for this project include supporting Daudi Matsiko at Kings Place, selling out her first headline show in 2025, and most recently performing a sold-out show in the round at The Ivy House, London. Her music has received praise from BBC 6 Music’s Chris Hawkins (“So Perfect”) and from BBC Introducing Northampton’s Kerrie Kosh (“I love this!”). Upcoming live dates include Deershed Festival, Pink Moon Pride in Brighton, and London shows including SLATE at Ron’s, the night curated by Will White of The Maccabees, with more dates to follow throughout 2026.
