Fernando Gimeno: Prelude

Bio: Composer, songwriter, and guitarist, Fernando is guided by curiosity and a genuine enthusiasm for the craft. Drawn to projects with heart, imagination, and a sense of fun, he’s always excited to help stories be told. Working across games, film, and the stage, he blends the familiar and acoustic with louder and experimental production techniques that help fictional worlds feel alive. His approach is shaped by years performing modern genres in jazz, pop, and bossa ensembles, and his experience in composition ranges from feature films, art installations, video games, and musical theatre. Fernando studied Jazz Performance and Composition in Madrid and holds an MMus in Composition for Film and Television from the London College of Music.

Project info: I’m currently working on a range of projects across games, film, and the stage. Battle Sablemon! is a strategy monster-collection game that can now be wish-listed on Steam, for which I’m making the music and directing the audio, perfect for fans of pocket-sized adventures and weaponised cuteness. We’ve also started redeveloping a short musical film we produced last y into a fully fleshed-out stage production, where multiple stories clash in the fitting rooms of a clothing store. Think of it as a one-act musical about bodies, insecurities, and clothing. Finally, I’m collecting previously composed material into a self-released album, both as a personal artistic project and as a showcase for new creative opportunities. 2026 promises to be packed!
