FITKINWALL: The Open Fund for Music Creators
For:
LOST
FITKINWALL use harps, moog synth, autoharp and red box. They are collaborating closely on the new album LOST which will be released to coincide with their autumn 2015 tour.
The title LOST refers to feelings of isolation, loss of understanding or of faculty and the embracing of such states. The music is intricate at times with Fitkin’s trademark rhythmic interplay and energy, spare and edgy at other times.
Ruth Wall performs on both concert harp and Gaelic wire-strung harp. Graham Fitkin plays keyboards, moog, autoharp and a red box tone generator. Ryan Sharpe is creating visuals for the tour which opens at Nottingham Lakeside on 23 September and Kings Place, London on 25 September before heading off round the UK. The final performances this year will take place at Ars Musica in Brussels and Macerata in Italy.
Ruth has recently worked with BBC Concert Orchestra, Kathryn Tickell, Goldfrapp, Adrian Utley and has recorded for EMI, Sony, Universal and latterly for films ‘Joan of Arc and ‘Sightseers’.
Graham Fitkin has composed for Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Royal Ballet, BBC Symphony Orchestra and Yo-Yo Ma. Recently he has worked with Kathryn Stott and written music for the Cultural Olympiad in 2012 and The Royal Opera House.
