Folk Alliance 2016 - Leverets

Leveret features three of England’s finest folk musicians in an exciting new collaboration. Andy Cutting, Sam Sweeney and Rob Harbron are each regarded as masters of their instrument and are involved in numerous collaborations with a huge range of artists. Together their performances combine consummate musicianship, compelling delivery and captivating spontaneity.

Leveret’s music is firmly rooted in the English tradition but is fresh and new, with original settings of ancient tunes sitting alongside new compositions by some of today’s finest tunesmiths in the folk field. Sophisticated and honest, considered and spontaneous, each performance is improvised ensuring no two shows are ever the same and each performance is a totally unique experience for the audience. Leveret have been lucky enough to be awarded funding to travel to the USA and attend Folk Alliance International 2016 in Kansas City where they will be performing an official showcase followed by a series of concerts in private showcases to a wide selection of US, Canadian and other festival organisers and promoters. This is fantastic opportunity to showcase one of the finest English traditional bands on a world stage.
