Blair Dunlop: International Showcase Fund (Folk Alliance International)

In a short four-year career, Blair Dunlop as certainly packed in the achievements and accolades. The award-winning British singer, songwriter and guitarist, has now released 3 albums, 2EPs, and toured widely. His third album ‘Gilded’ was released in May 2016 on his own label – Gilded Wings – (via Absolute Label Services) and was widely acclaimed gaining BBC Radio 2 Playlist status for the two single releases (‘The Egoist’ and ‘356’) both of which were remixed by collaborator extraordinaire – Ed Harcourt. Prior to this Blair released his acclaimed album ‘House Of Jacks’ (2014) which lived up to the promise of his debut ‘Blight and Blossom’ (2012), for which he won a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award. Having successfully performed at English Folk Expo and across a range of folk and mainstream festivals, Blair has now cemented his place as one of Britain’s most exciting talents to come from the UK folk scene. In 2017 Blair will showcase Internationally for the first time at Folk Alliance International in Kansas City, USA. The folk and roots scene there eagerly awaits his arrival and we look forward to this exciting next stage of development in Blair’s ever-growing career.
