Forest Swords is a Liverpool based electronic producer and composer who has been active for 4 years.
His 2010 debut EP was FACT Magazine’s #1 album of the year, called “one of 2010’s finest underground records” by NME, and was chosen a ‘Hidden Gem of 2010’ in The Guardian.
Debut album ‘Engravings’ was released through NYC independent label Tri Angle in Aug 2014. The critical response has been unanimously positive, with Pitchfork giving an 8.5 Best New Music review and Resident Advisor a 4.5/5 review.
The FADER published a think piece proclaiming the producer’s music is “worth endless listens, endless re-examinations, endless re-contextualizing”, and stating it “exists in that sweet spot of musical influence between everything and nothing.”
The artist is touring an audio-visual live show around the EU and UK between January and April 2014, and will be playing his debut North American dates at SXSW in March, a trip made possible by PRSF funding.
