Kendal Calling On Tour is a series of socially distanced concerts, showcasing outstanding emerging talent to audiences in Cumbria. Kendal Calling festival started in 2006, and has grown steadily over the years to an award-winning 30,000 capacity annual event, which has sold out in advance every year, and is a key music and culture offering in the UK.

The festival a long-standing reputation as a key supporter of artists at early career stages – and 2020 would have been no different. Unfortunately, with the majority of live music events in 2020 now cancelled, thousands of emerging artists have been unable to grow their fanbases through live performance, in what should have been a pivotal stage in their careers. Musicians such as Chloe Foy, Liines, James Holt, Eliza Gutteridge have had to put their plans and careers on hold. We want to give them the opportunity to play to a physical audience, in a year when very little live music is possible.
