Fuel Productions Ltd: TDN 2026

Concise Description: Fuel Productions Ltd

Bio: Fuel Productions Ltd Fuel leads the field in independent producing in the UK’s live performance sector, working with brilliant artists to explore the big questions of our times, shining a light on how we relate to each other and the world around us, and telling untold stories by under-represented voices. Fuel produces high quality new live performance that reaches diverse audiences across the UK and internationally. Fuel collaborates with outstanding theatre makers with fresh perspectives and approaches who produce shows, performances or experiences which have direct and playful relationships with their audiences.

Short Project Title: Fuel’s artistic development programme supporting music creators to experiment with new technology, collaborate with new creative partners and develop practice.

Program Description: New Work for New Times: Fuel 20th Anniversary Commissions;New Work for New Times will commission music creators to develop completely original music for live performance and theatre. It will encourage risk taking, creativity, collaboration and experimentation – giving opportunity to new creative partnerships and working with new technology. This means creating the best possible conditions for unique and interesting work to be composed and then produced by one of the UK’s leading independent theatre producers. The programme will support one emerging and two established music creators per year. This initiative is underscored by Fuel’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, ensuring that a wide range of voices and experiences are represented – two-thirds of beneficiaries will come from under-represented demographics, and one artist will not have any experience composing for live performance/theatre.  Through this, we aim to nurture talent and offer unique opportunities for artistic growth and collaboration.
