Garsington Opera have commissioned a new work by Sir Richard Stilgoe and Orlando Gough, entitled “Road Rage”.  The hour-long piece will for the backbone of a full-scale Community Opera project taking place in 2013.  Community members will perform alongside professional opera singers and the Southbank Sinfonia orchestra.

The project will involve over 2,600 people, both as participants in activity throughout the year and as audience members for a three-day festival in July on the Wormsley Estate.  People of all ages and backgrounds will be involved in this work, the subject of which has been devised through community consultation.
