Gavin Milne: Early Career Promoter Fund

4 forward looking, high quality dance music events in 2026, held in unique local venues/spaces, showcasing local talent including those experiencing barriers due to marginalisation

Gavin is 46 years old, so an old timer now (!), and is coming back to the field of Dance music event promotion with a collaborative project called ‘Formula’. His main vocation is in the field of spirituality, meditation and therapy, so he is keen to bring some of the holistic principles from these fields, into dance music event curation. So the grant will help to put on 2 ‘Formula’ daytime into evening events in 2026, enhanced with a better sound-system, aesthetics and higher profile DJ’s. It will also help him to skill up in the field of contemporary promotion. The hope with ‘Formula’ is events that showcase this ‘take you on a journey, rhythm of life!’ music genre in all its glory, in unique spaces and new ways – emphasising the elements that have always been beyond the hedonistic accompaniments (!), with primary aims promoting mental health, being yourself, and accessing inner joy.
