George Riley: Women Make Music

Singles’ release and promotion

George Riley is a 22-year old vocalist and producer from West London, working closely with friend and producer Oliver Palfreyman. The duo is fronted by George whose Jewish and Jamaican heritage, fused with London upbringing make for a sound that can’t be easily defined. It is forward looking and futuristic, yet the legacy of dub, jungle, jazz and RnB emanate and it’s suddenly familiar. Drawing from the rich tapestry that is bass culture in the UK their sound is both a homage to and continuation of this history.

Their first single “Herstory” garnered early support from the industry including radio play from, Huw Stephens, BBC Introducing, Jamz Supernova, Moses Boyd, and Erica Mcoy (Worldwide FM).

Both a part of the musical community that is ‘The Room Studios’ in Hither Green, South London; a family attitude and community spirit has nurtured and grown confidence exponentially. The first act out of a bourgeoning innovative creative space they are absolutely ones to watch.
