Harlem Reid: Early Career Promoter Fund

We will upgrade our branding as we hit year one, bring authentic music back to day parties and champion UK R&B including overlooked deeper tracks.

The Playlist Party is an independent UK events brand focused on curated, daytime R&B-led parties that prioritise music quality, atmosphere and audience experience. The project was established to create space for deeper musical selections — R&B (including UK sub-genres) , Dancehall, Afroswing and related genres — that are often underrepresented in more mainstream focused events.

In a short period of time since launching in March 2025, The Playlist Party has delivered successful events and built a growing audience through consistency, authenticity, music knowledge, strong DJ partnerships and a clear understanding of its core audience: like-minded, music-led adults – mainly in their 20s and 30s. The brand places high value on growing a community of true music lovers, fair pay for DJ’s, and giving people a chance to experience both the music they love, whilst also discovering new music.

With a solid foundation now in place, the project is moving from initial delivery into a planned growth phase, expanding activity into new UK cities while maintaining quality and unique identity.
