Harvey Grant : The Hitmaker Fund

Harvey Grant is a producer, co-writer and collaborator based in London. Over the last decade he has toured extensively, playing live with artists including Puma Blue, Kerala Dust, Lucy Rose and Songhoy Blues amongst others. Forced to refocus during the COVID pandemic, Harvey turned his attention to studio work and quickly picked up co-writing and production credits with artists including Joy Crookes, Wesley Joseph and Rosie Lowe. Since 2020 he has established himself as part of a new breed of producer / writers – with an encyclopedic knowledge of gear and his both jazz and classical training refracted through the lens of his experiences of club culture, the indie touring circuit and left-field electronic music. Instinctively open and collaborative, Harvey is currently writing, producing and creating with artists including Loyle Carner, Alewya, Raquel Martins, That Woman, Shura and Aby Coulibaly as well as working with established collaborators Wesley Joseph, Puma Blue and Joy Crookes on new music.

With the benefit of Hitmaker Funding – Harvey will be able to spend some time away from live session work and touring and concentrate on new writing and production projects throughout 2024. Having recently moved into a studio complex in Deptford, Hitmaker will allow Harvey to explore new creative partnerships and writing relationships, work with more emerging artists and developing projects without allowing finances to be the leading factor in his decision making.
