Hidden Door Environments – an immersive collaborative project

We are delighted to be the recipient of a grant from PRSF which will enable us to realise the most ambitious set of commissions our organisation has ever undertaken. Hidden Door has a proud track record of providing opportunities for new and emerging artists to get their creative work in front of new audiences, but with this project, “Hidden Door Environments” funded by PRSF, we are taking these opportunities to a new level. The projects are a series of collaborations which will see a broad range of musicians from opera singers to jazz through to electronic producers and composers work with artists from different disciplines such as film, dance, and visual art, which will push their boundaries as they produce new work together. The performances they put together will also run throughout the whole festival, and so will be experienced by over 5000 people, exposing these new artists to new audiences, who will have time to really engage with the work. The projects specifically seek to address the climate crisis and so are an excellent opportunity for artists to explore this vitally important issue. We are extremely grateful for the support for such a forward-looking, experimental project.
