Artist development for South Yorkshire based music artists

The project will provide opportunities for South Yorkshire based developing artists to access professional support with recording, producing, broadcasting, promoting and releasing, music and videos.

We will support a total of 10 music creators to produce high quality new music projects via direct support activities such as recording and releasing music, creating short videos for social platforms, radio sessions, and advice sessions with music industry professionals, whilst also engaging audiences of +100000 via radio and music streaming via the musical products produced. This structured artist development will provide early career music artists with high-quality products and content alongside access to industry professional support and guidance that will enable them to improve their proficiency across vital industry areas.

Based in Doncaster, Higher Rhythm have provided music and media opportunities and services, across the Yorkshire region and beyond, since 2001. We run recording studios, a radio station, courses (including national & higher national diplomas), artist development programmes, a record label, digital music distribution, events, business support and volunteering programmes.

We have delivered artist development for more than 15 years and have worked with many talented music creators to identify common and specific knowledge-gaps and this programme aims to negate these gaps to turn out better informed artists who are also more capable of creating excellent music.
