Hookworms: Momentum
Since forming in 2009, Leeds’ Hookworms have toured the world and produced several critically acclaimed records, most recently ‘Microshift’ which was released through Domino Records in February 2018 and gained the band their first UK Top 20 album. Already well known for their intense and cathartic live performances, Hookworms will work alongside visual director Sam Wiehl (Liverpool Psych Fest Visual Director, The Coral, Forest Swords), using the grant to develop and perform their new bespoke AV show featuring lighting, digital media and sculptural stage design, mostly notably across their Autumn 2018 headline tour, taking in venues such as London’s 2000 capacity O2 Forum.
