Jessica McDonald : Early Career Promoter Fund
About :
Bella Barton the founder of SLIP Events and Jessie McDonald the found of Queer Groove Collective are colliding together in a steamy cosmic explosion of queerness 🥵💖 Both hailing from SE London, they have individually been creating safer spaces for queer artistic expression and community celebration. Bella comes from a performance background, being a talented singer and musician as well as being a member of Bella Artois, an up and coming five piece band. They also run queer comedy nights and poetry events alongside their music career. Jessie has been creating an array of club nights focused around bass music, welcoming all to the dance floor to shake their booties to some of the best underground DJs London has to offer. As well as carving bass heavy beats, Jessie also runs a monthly queer and women centred Open Decks for aspiring DJs and a free bimonthly producer demo session to provide a space for creative feedback. MOTHERSHIP Imagine a cosmic wonderland where DJs, Drag Kings, Drag Things, and Dykes collide in a stellar explosion of queerness; a world where everyone can express themselves freely and dance to stanky-ass bass beats that will TRANS-port your booty out of this world. If this sounds like your kind of (space) jam, then let us take you on an inter-GAL-actic journey! 🚀
Welcome aboard the MOTHERSHIP – your ultimate vehicle to a utopia of Dykery! Think sexy dyke fantasy set in outer space… with plenty of drag & dance and maybe even a chance at romance! 👩❤️💋👩
