Joshua Fielden: PPL Momentum Accelerator Wales

Josh Fielden is a budding Producer and Mixing Engineer specialising in Metal and Pop Punk from Wrexham, North Wales. His passion is to help musicians along their musical journey by collaborating with them and bringing the best out of them and their art, delivering something their music deserves – amazing production!

Since 2018, he has been working towards a career in the music industry. Up until now, Joshua has had the opportunity to provide mixing and mastering to artists in the UK, US and EU with some tracks getting played on local BBC Introducing stations. He is now looking to further his career and kickstart his recording and production services.

The PPL Momentum Accelerator fund is helping provide an opportunity for Joshua to work with fresh, exciting new Welsh artists to produce, record, mix and master original new music in North Wales. This will help him refine and focus his skills in the recording environment and help artists release their art into the world.

“The PPL Momentum Accelerator fund is providing me with an opportunity to hire a recording studio in North Wales, record a new Welsh artist and help them release their art into the world, whilst I refine and build my skills and experience working with other people in the studio environment.

Up until now, I have not had the resources or funds to help provide artists with production and recording, something that every artist needs when creating music. Additionally, though I have plenty of experience in post-production (mixing and mastering) I have next to no experience in commercially recording an artist.

This fund is crucial for me to jumpstart my career as a producer in North Wales. With this investment I will be able to get hands-on studio experience, build my knowledge and confidence in recording artists, whilst simultaneously removing a large financial barrier to producing music and achieve my main goal – to collaborate with, and help artists on their musical journey and receive high quality production their music deserves.”
