Jurango: POWER UP Industry Professional

Short Bio: Jurango is a Bristol-based DJ, producer and radio host with Jamaican heritage. His DJ sets are shaped by a broad range of influences — from soundsystem culture and the hardcore continuum to foundational house and techno — and are known for adapting fluidly between DIY spaces, club-focused events, and festival stages. He has established a dynamic and versatile presence across the UK, Europe, and beyond, with appearances at Glastonbury, Field Maneuvers, Freerotation, Tresor, Razzmatazz, Open Ground, and De School (ADE), with standout b2b sets including appearances alongside UK techno mainstay Surgeon. His recent EPs — Isle of Crass (re:lax) and An Amorphous Mass (Livity Sound) — drew support from Laksa, re:ni, aya, Florentino and others, with features in DJMag, The Quietus, and Bandcamp Daily. In 2023, his track Junglizer (Rhythm Section) saw widespread backing from names like Hessle Audio, Batu, NIKS, Helena Star, Leon Vynehall, and Carista. Jurango has delivered mixes for Bleep, Crack Magazine, Ilian Tape, Keep Hush, Kiosk Radio, NTS, Rinse FM, and The Lot Radio, and holds a monthly residency on SWU FM.
