Kassia Zermon: Women Make Music

Bunty aka Kassia Zermon is a fiery multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer and wild eyed visionary. With North African heritage, growing up in West London, Bunty’s influences stretch far and wide. One of the first artists to adopt the digital loopstation, she has pioneered experimental vocal-loop music, inspiring people around the globe. Bunty’s powerful one woman electro-orchestra combines the rawness of early M.I.A with the lyrical espionage of Tom Waits and a voice as sweet as Ella Fitzgerald.

Multimos is Bunty’s new multimedia album in 7 parts. Every 8 weeks Bunty is releasing downloadable packages on Beatabet records containing new music (with producer Dave Meckin), films (by MetaLuna), audio snippets, special powers and is developing a Multimos phone app.
As part of Multimos, Bunty will compose 7 new pieces of music based on 7 special powers and Multimos colour spectrum. She will  integrate a sampler (collecting audience sound bites) and new ensemble King Zacky to perform it live with integrated projections by VJ MetaLuna.

‘She’s doing what bands have attempted to do but all on her own – a great voice to match’ Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 6
