Kate Simko and London Electronic Orchestra: International Showcase Fund

Kate Simko & London Electronic Orchestra is an inimitable blend of lush strings weaving in-and-out of synths and loose grooved beats, bringing ornate orchestral instruments to the forefront in electronic music. Kate has intricately fused her background as a classical pianist with her Chicago roots in electronic music. In 2014, Kate completed a masters degree in Composition for Screen at the Royal College of Music, where she formed the LEO. Since then the group has created a buzz with appearances such as the National Gallery, iTunes Festival at the Roundhouse, LEAF festival, Latitude Festival, HEART Ibiza, and Bestival.

They are one of twelve bands worldwide selected to perform as part of Midem’s Artist Accelerator Program. Midem is a music industry conference in Cannes with record executives, agents, publishers, sync agents, and other top music industry contacts from around the world. It’s a chance to get advice and perform in front of key people.
