Keecia Ellis: Power Up Industry Professional

Keecia Ellis

Music Publisher

Keecia Ellis is a music publisher, songwriter, and a classically trained pianist with a love for creativity and music business.

Growing up in a musical family, Keecia always had a passion for the music industry due to witnessing her father battle for ownership of his Intellectual Property Rights.

This pushed her academic achievements at Bachelors and Master’s level by studying the music business.

Keecia is a resourceful visionary within the music industry. She has a great ear for talent and excellent artist relation skills. She has a strong grasp of key business concepts and is highly driven. Having worked successfully within Universal, Sony and most recently Jack Russell Music a independent publishing business, Keecia is expanding her network.

Working within a publishing company allowed Keecia to take a closer look at music disputes (specifically Reggae) amongst writers, composers, and publishers. She has been able to resolve age-old disputes which has been one of her long-term dreams.

Keecia sought mediation training and is now an Accredited Mediator focusing on Intellectual Property disputes, she was also a Young Music Boss 2022 Nominee for the Best Music Publisher award in London.

“I am excited to be part of the POWER UP community where the aim is to collectively grow and break barriers for the next generation of creatives and industry professionals.” Keecia Ellis
