Ken Richman: Early Career Promoter Fund

If you ask Ken Richman what he thinks of Teddington, where he’s lived for the last 11 years, he’ll tell you it’s an attractive small town by the River Thames with plenty of nice pubs, restaurants, parks and open spaces but not enough jazz. While local venues do occasionally host jazz events, Ken decided it would be a great idea to stage a jazz festival in the town, with a view to putting Teddington on the UK jazz map, maybe even rivalling Brecon one day, but with the advantage for Ken of being a short walk from his front door instead of a long drive down the M4.

Concise Project Description: A jazz and blues festival based in Teddington – to be an annual event
