Kwabena Amponsa: Power Up Industry Professional
A polymath, innovator, and leader, Kwabena, a Redbull Music Academy graduate, has graced esteemed music stages as Mickey Lightfoot, from Afropunk to Splash Festival & SXSW to Field Day, he has worked with renowned artists like Omass Keith, Mos Def, Young Fathers (& more) and toured with Petite Noir and Rejjie Snow.
Kwabena’s music and activities has taken him worldwide, from Siberia, Algeria, Colombia to Ghana. With a label and management background, he aided groundbreaking works to Afrobeats, contributing to multiple awards and MOBO nominations for his lead signings.
As one of the founding SLT members of Peckham Levels, he transformed a multi-storey car park in into a hub for creators and community which was home to the likes of culturally significant contributors like Gal Dem, Guap and S.Adjani.
As Head of Creator Partnerships at Mixcloud, Kwabena modernised their image, and increased their addressable market globally, collaborating with the likes of A-Trak, Lil Simz, NTS and various majors and indies. Recently appointed as Head of Memberships at Soho House CWH’s (UK & IRE), Kwabena passionately elevates people and projects through collaboration.
Concurrently, Kwabena works on tech projects leveraging AI to empower music entrepreneurs.
