Kwes is the stage name of South Londoner Kwesi Sey, who through the kind support of the PRS for Music Foundation will be attending SXSW in 2012. Having built up a head of critical steam releasing EPs with XL imprints Young Turks and Salvia, he has recently signed to influential electronic label Warp Records and will be releasing an album in 2012. Visiting Austin will help him to establish himself internationally and to develop his production catalogue, having previously worked with the likes of Micachu, the XX and Damon Albarn.
