Lanterns On The Lake is a 6 piece band from Newcastle who describes ourselves as cinematic pop.
Over the last 18 months Lanterns On The Lake have had amazing support from BBC Radio, especially 6Music, but have also received airtime on Radio 1, 2, 5Live and BBC Newcastle. In November 2009 Lanterns On The Lake played a 6Music Showcase for Tom Robinson.
As well as key live performances in the North of England and London, Lanterns On The Lake have played a number of UK festivals including Glastonbury, Blissfields and End of the Road, and received excellent reviews from each.
Lanterns On The Lake have recently signed a recording contract with Bella Union Records (home of Fleet Foxes, Beach House, Midlake and many more) , and have agreed contracts with Blue Mountain Publishing and Free Trade live agency.
