Laurie Moore: Early Career Promoter Fund
Short Project Title: Establish a regular drum and bass event series in Bristol, combining emerging and established artists to strengthen grassroots pathways, audiences and long-term scene sustainability.
Bio: Nerium Records is an emerging promoter focused on building forward-thinking drum and bass events that connect established artists with rising talent. With roots in Bristol’s rich underground music culture, they are committed to creating inclusive, high-quality spaces where both artists and audiences can grow. By working closely with artist agencies, alongside direct relationships with independent acts, their approach blends professional curation with grassroots community development. The funded project will deliver a new series of drum and bass events in Bristol, centred within an intimate ~200 capacity club space. Designed as a development platform, the series aims to re-establish consistent drum and bass programming following the decline of previous staple nights in the city. Each event will thoughtfully combine established headliners with emerging local talent, offering dedicated support slots and collaborative ‘takeovers’ from other promoter brands. The project seeks to cultivate a connected ecosystem within Bristol’s scene, providing opportunities for artists, promoters and audiences to network, collaborate and progress together. With a long-term vision of expanding into larger spaces and eventually into other cities, this initiative represents a strategic step towards revitalising and sustaining drum and bass culture at both a local and national level.
